I’m a huge fan of nostalgic and renowned venues being given a new lease of life, and Renowned inner-city icon, The Toxteth is absolutely no exception!
It has a VIP party last night with media, celebs and stakeholders to celebrate the re-opening, and now we can enjoy it for ourselves too! Yeah!
Officially open for business today, the all-new look The Toxeth sure doesn’t disappoint thanks to a six-month refurbishment and interior design overhaul. In addition, an all-new food and beverage menu, new cocktail offering and events package are on offer for punters.
Positioned in the inner west suburb of Glebe, The Toxteth is the reinvention of sentimentality and innovation. Affectionally known as ‘The Tocky,’ the refurbishment follows shortly after its $22 million-dollar purchase by PHMG in February 2017 from Geoff Dixon and John Singleton’s Riversdale Group.
The Toxeth boasts a highly-differentiated beverage offering with an all-new cocktail menu and wine list, featuring a number of wines and cocktails on tap. The wine list has been purposefully-designed to complement the vegan options with organic and vegan wines, while local breweries are celebrated with the integration of micro-breweries such as Young Henry’s.
Continuing the premium design, upstairs welcomes the all-new function space, ‘Birdies Bar’ – a fully self-sufficient events space hosting up to 120 people for private events.
The all-new Toxteth experience is complete with a line-up of regular entertainment and events, including Saturday and Sunday acoustic sessions celebrating local talent, Sienna’s Brunch Club every Saturday, Sunday ‘Craft-ernoons to explore the best of local breweries, Trivia and Musical Bingo.
It’s a must-see on our list and should be on yours too, get yourself down there, you won’t be disappointed!
