Do you fancy yourself a top gun at underwater photography? Are you just waiting for National Geographic to snap you up? Or are you a keen diver, new to photography but ready to gain the most valuable underwater photography insights of your life? Or, do you just want an escape to Lord Howe Island?

Well, guess what? We got your back. There’s a chance for your potential to shine and have a dreamy holiday at the same time. It’s all thanks to Lord Howe Island. Have you heard of it? It’s probably the most underrated paradise in the world – and it’s only a two-hour flight from Sydney. This beautiful island, listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is referred to as Australia’s very own Galapagos. And, what better way to see it than from the water? It’ll be just you and the reef at Australia’s southern-most, pristine coral reef.

How can you make this happen, you ask?

Last year they had a hugely successful run and the participants had a spectacular week of diving. They completed fourteen dives around Lord Howe Island, including all the secret spots as well as two-night dives. And, for those who are a bit unsure they can handle the heat of the competition, don’t worry, because you’ve forgotten that it’s being hosted by a top photographer, Scott Portelli. There will be chances to opt in for workshops with him to make your photography game straight fire. FYI, if you were wondering who on earth (or who under the sea) Scott Portelli is – he is an award winning wildlife, nature, aerial and underwater photographer with a background in journalism and media. Scott is a leading professional in his field and has spent thousands of hours in remote locations across the globe filming and photographing wildlife, the underwater environment and wild places.

A photography master and one of Australia’s premier diving operators taking care of you? You know you’ll be in good hands.

PS for those who love their beds at the end of a long day (who doesn’t?), rest assured, the accommodation you’ll be staying at is top notch. Leanda Lei apartments are ideally located only 400m from Lagoon Beach, 300m to the museum and all the main attractions on the island. You’re going to have the best holiday. You know it
