Last Thursday SydneySocial101 was lucky enough to attend the Spring Ladies Luncheon at The Glenmore in The Rocks. The event was held in support of the Gidget Foundation, to raise money and awareness about perinatal depression.

The scenic rooftop bar was decked out beautifully, and even despite the weather not being on our side, it was still a magical day.

Inspirational guest speakers for the day were Robyn Foyster, former editor of many magazine publications including Cosmo, Woman’s Day, Madison and Grazia and now founder and publisher of The Carousel, who shared some personal stories and her experience as a journalist and her journey in starting up a business.

She was joined by Nedahl Stelio, former editor of Cleo Magazine and author of Mojo Mama Secrets, who shared her wisdom on becoming mum and her tips on how to get your mojo back after having kids.

Guests were treated to delicious canapés to start, with bubbly and Pimms flowing freely. The main meals were devine – both from The Glenmore’s new Summer Menu – which was an alternate drop of either Pan Seared Salmon, mixed quinoa, garden peas, red radish, baby heirloom tomato, crispy lotus root chips and yuzu soy dressing or Char Grilled grain fed Back Angus sirloin with mashed potato, watercress, grilled field mushroom and beer gravy (honestly these pictures don’t even do it justice!)

There was also a raffle with some amazing prizes up for grabs including a $500 Carla Zampatti voucher, with all funds raised going towards the Gidget Foundation. Ladies were dressed to impress and it was great chance to chat and build awareness for such an important issue.
