Last night SydneySocial101 was invited to an exclusive Dinner at Salt Meats and Cheese in Alexandria, celebrating the fast approaching, and highly anticipated event Vino Paradiso.
Vino Paradiso is the new Food and Wine Festival coming to Sydney this October. In a nutshell, Vino Paradiso is the Disneyland of Food and Wine – an unparalleled opportunity to bring together the most passionate wine and food enthusiasts with Australia’s best wine, food, craft beer, cider and spirit influencers and producers.
Last night saw 65 guests get a sneak peak into what Vino Paradiso and the events passionate Tastemakers have to offer. From live cooking demonstrations, the chance to taste a selection of ciders and wines and a seriously impressive Affogato Martini cocktail demonstration complete with chocolate infused smoke to stimulate the senses.
The Vino Paradiso Tastemakers include, Darren Robertson, one of Australia’s hottest chefs from Sydney’s Three Blue Ducks and co-host of Network Ten’s Recipe to Riches; Grant Collins, one of the world’s most experienced and acclaimed mixologists; Sarah Limacher from The Keystone Group; Oscar McMahon from rock and roll brewery Young Henrys; Ian Rayner who is head brewer from WA cider company Custard & Co, Peter Windrim, Krinklewood Biodynamic Vineway Winemaker; Slava Beliakova who is one of Australia’s first Sake Sommeliers and and talented winemaker at Jed Wines Tom Egan.
The Great Wall of Wine and Treasure Hunt, Grape Crushing, VP Masters program and the Aroma Bar are just some of the key activities of Vino Paradiso which aim to bring a fun and interactive element to the festival.
Vino Paradiso kicks off from Friday October 31 for three days at Australian Technology Park, Sydney.
